Crowns

You can erase years of wear and tear with porcelain crowns. Crowns are customized for you, covering broken, cracked, or discolored teeth. Crowns are a durable, strong, long-lasting method of enhancing both the look and functionality of your smile. After some preparation of the tooth or teeth that will receive the crown(s), your doctor will position a custom milled, lifelike porcelain crown, or a gold crown over your damaged tooth, restoring your good oral health. You may have existing porcelain or gold crowns that need attention. Your doctor can update your restorations to look and feel like new again.

Porcelain Bridges

When teeth are missing, your smile undergoes significant changes. Missing teeth cause you to chew differently and may cause mouth pain. Additionally, as your remaining teeth work to compensate for the tooth loss, gaps and spaces form that only make the situation worse. A porcelain bridge, custom designed by your doctor at Laurel Manor Dental, keeps your smile aligned and your bite functional. Bridges are anchored to existing teeth or crowns on either side of the missing tooth. They are semi-permanent, meaning they can only be affixed or removed by a dentist and are a long-term restorative solution.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are used if you have several teeth missing that cannot be corrected with a bridge. A partial denture is created to replace those teeth. The denture is removable and is designed to fit comfortably and to blend in with any remaining teeth. This type of denture is made from a synthetic material that is supported with a lightweight metal. It mimics your gum tissue and teeth to create a natural looking smile while still remaining functional. The partial denture is important once the teeth have been removed to preserve the bone and to keep existing teeth from tilting and growing in towards the gaps.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is one of the most permanent forms of restorative dentistry available and can be used to restore a single tooth or several teeth. Dental implants involve the placement of a surgical grade titanium post by one of the doctor's trusted specialists. As the bone bonds to the post, it forms a secure foundation for the attachment of a crown or a prosthetic tooth that is custom created just for you. Dental implants are sometimes used instead of bridges in order to maintain the integrity of the teeth on either side of the missing teeth.

Dentures

Your confidence fades and your appearance transforms after tooth loss. With dentures, you can get back to your confident, normal life even after the loss of your teeth. Offering only the most advanced removable dentures to best fit you, Laurel Manor Dental will guide you every step of the way. Our team creates custom dentures made for you and helps you select the shade and shape. You walk away with great fitting dentures that look just like real teeth, and smiling is just the beginning!

Implant-supported Dentures

While some dentures can shift and require the use of denture adhesives to keep them in place, implants fit solidly, reducing the problems associated with traditional dentures such as gum sores, difficulty speaking, and difficulty chewing. Implant-supported dentures distribute your biting pressure more like natural teeth than traditional dentures, stimulating the supportive structures of your teeth and preventing the bone and soft tissues from shrinking away. You can replace an entire set of teeth with beautiful, natural-looking implants.

Hybrid Dentures

They are a cross between a regular denture and a fixed bridge or a "Hybrid". When there is a lot of bone loss in your jaws and you would like teeth that don't have to be taken out a Hybrid Denture is the best solution. A regular porcelain bridge that doesn't replace any of the gum tissue would give the teeth the appearance of being way too large for your mouth. A hybrid denture solves this problem by replacing the gum tissue with pink acrylic between the teeth to allow the teeth to be of normal size and appearance.
